“This Sunday, 𝐈𝐟𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐚 is joined by collaborating artist 𝐒𝐮𝐟𝐢𝐚 𝐈𝐤𝐛𝐚𝐥-𝐃𝐨𝐮𝐜𝐞𝐭 (they/them) of Prismatic Realm for 𝘍𝘰𝘳𝘮 𝘈𝘴 𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦, a participatory 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩 inspired by the life, teachings, and poetic practice of Sonia Sanchez.⁣ Together, we’ll explore the discipline and political power of poetic form, looking to Sanchez’s practice to consider how limitation can shape what becomes possible in our own creative expression.⁣ ⁣ Turning toward nature, Sufia will guide us in exploring flowers as expressions of possibility, each carrying distinct qualities and medicines that can speak to 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝, 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐞’𝐫𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠, and 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐦𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐮𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞. We’ll draw from these reflections and sensations to create poetry of our own.⁣“
